A person jumped out of taxiing airplane at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Worldwide Airport

Southwest Flight 4236 arrived safely in Phoenix from Colorado Springs, Southwest Airways stated in a press release.

“Preliminary studies point out that whereas the flight was taxing to the gate, a Buyer onboard exited the plane by way of a rear galley door,” Southwest Airways spokesperson Dan Landson stated. “The flight’s Captain stopped the plane and notified Air Visitors Management (ATC).”

It’s unclear how the plane door was opened.

Phoenix Fireplace Station 19, which is positioned on the airport, was notified of the incident at round 8 a.m., Phoenix Fireplace Division Captain Todd Keller stated in a press release.

The person landed on the tarmac and made his strategy to the fireplace station, entered the constructing and locked himself inside a dormitory room, Keller stated.

“After a couple of minutes, firefighters have been in a position to get the grownup male to unlock the door the place he was then evaluated, handled and transported to an area hospital for a decrease extremity damage,” the fireplace captain added.

Authorities responded to the incident, after which the flight “continued to its designated gate,” Southwest Airways stated.

A Phoenix Police spokesperson advised CNN they “are conscious of this incident, and at the moment the investigation is ongoing.”

It’s unclear if the person will face prices.
